Bitesize Biodiversity - Online Weekly Meeting

Nature made easy!!

Learn about one new living thing each week

Join a collective group of teachers for 15 minutes every Monday who are bringing nature into their classrooms.

Who is this for?  Primary & Post Primary teachers.  Very useful for wellbeing/CSPE/SPHE teachers.

Let’s reconnect with nature by learning more about the wildlife around us and then bring it back to our classrooms. Many students and adults find it difficult to identify common wildflowers, trees, birds and mammals. We want to address this.

At the end of the year we want you and your students to be able to identify at least 30 living things and know a little more about them. When you learn a new word, you start to see it everywhere. We're hoping that by learning the names of these living things the students will see them and have a little more appreciation for them.

We are meeting on Mondays (school calendar year) every week at 4pm for 15mins. We will provide you with a set of resources on one living thing. Perhaps a plant, a mammal, an insect, or a bird.

You will be invited to teach your class (es) about that living thing once a week.
At the end of each term we will hold a fun quiz!
