Over 1000 young aspiring Galway writers between 4 and 12 rise keenly to the challenge of writing a book within six weeks. The project combines the Revised Primary School Curriculum areas of the writing process with the Visual Arts, and also addresses language development. Mary Smith committee member of the Galway Education Centre is the organizational force behind the Write-a-Book Project in Galway.
