Workshop

Mary will demonstrate how a simple picture book can become a powerful tool for engaging children in critical thinking.  Participants will be given guidance on resourcing picture books and facilitating classroom discussion.  Mary hopes to set up a forum where teachers can share resources and experience.

Biographical details

Now a freelance education consultant, Dr Mary Roche worked many years as a primary school teacher.  Mary researched her practice as a teacher in order to develop a dialogic classroom in which children would be encouraged to think critically.  Contact Mary at marygtroche@eircom.net
