Title: Composting at School and Home
Description: Did you know that all food waste and biodegradable items that end up in landfill do not become compost to benefit the earth's soil since they are not exposed to the right conditions to break down?  They also produce methane gas, a greenhouse gas and a contributor to global warming.  We can fix all of that by composting!  In this workshop we wil learn all about establishing a composting culture at school.  We will learn how to set up a wormery to compost in the classroom or at home.  It's a fun and interactive method of teaching children about compost, worms, waste management, science and gardening.  Making your own compost reduces waste, so let's get composting!
