The course will help provide opportunities for teachers to experience success in Science related activities. It will help to deepen your understanding of the practical aspects of the science curriculum and to have further knowledge of the curricular strands. It will also explore the importance of learning styles, gender equality and safety in Science.
This course will include:
- Introduction, aims, timetable, discussion on science, skills-working scientifically, make and do, investigations, group work, air.
- Detailed examination of strands; energy and forces; recording; discussion on air; science resources; materials.
- Review materials; practical session on recording; video on classroom organisation; discussion on video; make and do overview and practical evaluation.
- Using ICT to support the teaching of Science; safety in science; practical work on living things.
- Practical work on electricity; investigation session; present findings; evaluation.
